We’ve now installed our new phone system. If you need help, or want to set up your voicemail, here are some guides.
We updated our phone system to:
- Allow downriver schools to have phone access during network failures
This is a serious safety issue that we needed to address - Reduce phone system downtime in case of a power failure
- Allow us to easily add more telephones in the future
- Voicemails will now be e-mailed for most users
We’ve been working on the system for more than a year, and tested it as best we could in a controlled setting. We’ve obviously had some issues this week, and we’ve hopefully fixed the problems that we’ve found.
If you are experiencing a problem with the phone system, please let us know immediately. You can reach the Tech Department by dialing 4357. That will dial all the phones in the Tech Department, and someone will help you. You can also e-mail us: itsupport@nisgaa.bc.ca or Send us a help request online. Please do not tell someone else to tell us about a problem — tell us directly.
